1968
Republic Established

2010
Island Council Formation
Following the Decentralisation Act of 2010, Hulhudhuffaaru Island Council was established, giving local governance to the community.
2024
Modern Infrastructure
Major infrastructure upgrades including road paving, improved water supply, and new council secretariat building.
